Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow
Thursday, February 06, 2003

I spent a mere handful of days in New York City in mid-January, between my departure from Florida and my arrival in London. These are pictures from that bittersweet weekend (*sniffle*).

This is Sullivan Street, just south of the NYU campus. This picture was taken from inside Peanut Butter & Co., which is completely freakin' delicious, though everyone thinks it's overpriced. I say it's worth it.

This is Josh, and he is my boyfriend. He hates this picture but I think it's the best one I've taken of him. (That's decent to display here, that is. ;-D)

Rosa Mexicana is a really spectacular Mexican restaurant on the south side of Lincoln Center that my sister and I rather like to eat at. They have this really bizarre wall in the entryway that's covered in blue tiles and tiny little plaster men cliff-diving, with water running down it. It's pretty gorgeous, really, but because it's so dark in there the picture didn't come out properly...

Taken at Pomodoro on the corner of Spring & Mulberry, THE BEST DAMN PIZZA PLACE IN THE WORLD OH MY GOD. Eat there at your earliest convenience.

Right across the street from Pomodoro is the mural that gave Moby the name for his album Play. Neat, eh?

These are a bunch of wooden frogs in the window of a store on Mott Street. We didn't know what to make of them, really.

Crappy Chinese restaurant in Terminal 3 at JFK. Brilliant name, though.
